The company was founded in Kaunas 1956. Later divisions in Klaipėda, Panevėžys, Šiauliai, Vilnius and Białystok (Poland) were opened, which enabled faster and more operative exploration and designing of new and reconstructed roads.
As of 1 January 2012 Kelprojektas had 245 employees, 83 of which were certified project division managers and 45 certified project managers. The majority of employees (about 82 %) have university degrees and about 12 % have higher education degrees. The employees constantly train and work with state-of-art software, such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Civil 3D+GeoMap, SoFisTik, Microstation, ANSYS/Structural, MXROAD, 3ds Max Design, Robot Structural Analysis etc. Great value lies in the experience of the company’s employees in making engineering solutions and solid informational database of projects implemented throughout the period of 50 years. Qualified specialists as well as advanced technology of designing and management ensure high quality and timely implementation of projects.
The project “Bridge across the Neris River at T. Vrublevskio Street in Vilnius” prepared by UAB Kelprojektas was acknowledged the Product of the Year 2003 in Lithuania (Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists).
The project of reconstruction of the Kaunas City railway tunnel prepared by UAB Kelprojektas was acknowledged the Product of the Year 2009 (Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists) and awarded the gold medal.
