The leading Lithuanian road, bridge and railway engineering company Kelprojektas has signed a contract with the German enterprise DB International GmbH entitling Kelprojektas to prepare the technical design of pedestrian viaducts and underground tunnels for the project of upgrading the track Vilnius–Kaunas to 160 km/h speed. The contract is worth 0.5 million LTL and is due to be finished on March 5 this year.
The leading Lithuanian road, bridge and railway engineering company Kelprojektas was awarded the contract by Klaipėda City Municipality to prepare an overhaul project for the bascule bridge across the Danė River on Pilies Street in Klaipėda. The engineering work is expected to be finished in July 2012 and amount to 314,000 LTL.
The leading Lithuanian road, bridge and railway engineering company Kelprojektas has expanded its array of services with projects of transport infrastructure development and environmental impact assessments (EIA). These services will be provided by the new Department of Transport Infrastructure Development and Environment. The Company expects the new department to reach 300,000 LTL overall sales this year, including 150,000 LTL from environmental projects. In 2012, the department is expected to account for 1.5 million LTL turnover, including 0.9 million LTL from the field of environmental assessment.

Traffic safety management system will soon be implemented in Lithuania. The project launched by the Lithuanian Road Administration will produce an adaptation and implementation of the Finnish system TARVA. Contractors will be consulted by the state enterprise Transport and Road Research Institute, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and the leading Lithuanian road, bridge and railway engineering company Kelprojektas.
September 28, the leading Lithuanian road, bridge and railway engineering company Kelprojektas signed a cooperation agreement with Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU). Both parties aim at bilateral consultation and exchange of information concerning common interests of scholars, industry and business.
Kelprojektas, the biggest Lithuanian road, bridge and railway engineering company, has invested more than 700,000 LTL into its operations during January–August this year. The biggest chunk of the funds – 525,000 LTL – went into computer hardware and software, 145,000 LTL were put into vehicles, drilling rigs and other equipment, while another 43,000 LTL were invested into employee qualification.
